ThinkGames was established to provide an affordable means in which children, families and schools have access to educational board games, resources and learning programmes.
The EPiC MiNDs programme was developed in conjunction with school teachers, business leaders and parents to support schools, communities and whanau to deliver aspects of the NZ school curriculum particularly relating to the Five Key Competencies of Learning.
Board games are an engaging method through which we can improve thinking skills while helping to foster communication, interaction, and participation in fun and thought provoking activities.
Opportunities exist through purchases from the ThinkGames website for school’s to raise additional funds in a manner that is consistent with their educational philosophy.
We hope to achieve greater awareness of board games as a means of improving children’s thinking abilities in a safe, interactive and fun way. By providing an affordable alternative to computer games, TV, DVD’s and other forms of electronic media, we hope that ThinkGames will challenge the perception of non computer-based learning and that board games will have a greater place within all schools and families activities in future.
